you know how when you are pregnant it seems like everyone else and their dog are pregnant too? well this happened for REAL in my ward at church. there were about 5 of us who all got pregnant around the same time. so we documented our babies together. here you are... a babyfest of Elliot's friends. :)

okay soooo... remember a long time ago when i had a baby? yeah... so that kinda made my life a little crazy for the last six months. well, that AND i got an Iphone so i've been checking my email and life on there a lot more which means i'm on my computer less which means i wasn't inclined to update my blog. BUT.... i am back. so there. i will be more on top of this again.

here has what has happened in the last six months...

enos applied for a GPR program (General Practice Residency) after school ends in June... yes THIS JUNE! we find out this weekend where he gets accepted.

lucas began speech therapy for his delayed speech development

elliot is happier and sweeter than i could have ever imagined.

k... i'm not gonna bore you with back story and such. i'll just keep on top of it for now on. k coolness. here are some pictures to show you whats been going on. :)

miss pooh bear got sweeter.

my bestie had a baby...

...and then brought her baby mom to come visit me. just me... all the way from scotland.

Enos' cousin Paul had a wedding and we all came.

my artwork made it onto some random items at LDS bookstores.

lucas became very protective and nurturing of his little lady.

and he had a fun fall. :)

watched movies with his cousins.

Elliot started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks.

my bestie and i saw a birthday movie which shall not be named... it was LAME.

and overall... we just had a grand ol' time.

Okay so if you're the kinda blog checker who only wants to see pictures you can scroll on down and take a gander what i got going on (sounds sexy, doesn't it?... it kind of is. HAH) OR if you are the kind of person who really values our friendship and likes drama... read ON and then hey, you still get to enjoy the pictures afterwards and you are rewarded for your hard work of reading. cuz it's SOOO hard. okay.. i'll get to the point now.

THE BIRTH STORY
Welp... in case you don't check facebook at all, let me just summarize by saying that i was basically having contractions for the last two weeks of pregnancy before she came which i NEVER knew could happen but apparently is pretty common? anyway, since i'm SO retarded i ended up going to the hospital falsely TWICE. the first time was really emotionally tramatic and i was mad at everyone for not letting me have this baby NOW, the second time was more of a.. "tell me how far i'm dilated and all that so i can have piece of mind and ALSO maybe have a better nurse than the first visit who will give me GOOD advice" kinda visit. (let's just say the FIRST nurse said VERBATIM... "they WON'T send you home, you will be induced tonight." TURD.)

ANYWAY... so i went to my OB appointment on tuesday at 1:15 and she scheduled my induction for thursday which is enos' birthday which i ASKED for but later had mixed feelings about and was probably gonna change when i woke up from my nap... but then things when comPLETELY different...

so, like i said... i drove home from my appointment with relief KNOWING when the end was and that i would FINALLY not be pregnant anymore. (Can you tell i hate being with child? yeah... like i SERIOUSLY LOATH it.) By the way, i should mention that my OB didn't do ANYTHING out of the ordinary during our visit, no membrane stripping or anything, just checked me and then i left.

So then I laid down and napped since lucas was still asleep when i got home and napped for about 2 hours...when i woke up i was having the WORST contractions i'd had in the last two weeks and they were consistent through my nap as well which caused some uncomfortable dreams.. ya know like contorting into weird positions and climbing up a sandpaper wall with my belly rubbing against it.. .things like this... anywho.. i thought.. "man... i can't take DAYS of this! blah.. oh well.. i'll stick it through these since i know the end is on thursday." this is at 4pm.. okay? don't forget that time... so lucas wakes up and i feed him lunch and TRY to eat a lara bar but my contractions are just so painful i get sick at the thought of eating anymore and stop. Then it hits me... um... could this be IT? i looked at the clock and started keeping track of how far apart my contractions were... two of them were 5 minutes apart and then by 4:30 they were 2 minutes apart... oh my GOSH.. this is really happening!! okay good... so i get lucas ready inbetween contractions, which, were SERIOUSLY painful.. i had to completely stop doing EVERYTHING when i had one... i call my "team" of people to take lucas... everyone on the list... and guess what? NOBODY ANSWERS!!!!!!! what the crap!?!? what do i do? then, i call my next door neighbor, Alanna. SHE is officially my HERO. She was at the park with her kids but was like.. "i can be there in 15 minutes. is that fast enough?" and i said, out of breath, "ummm i hope so." So i continue to call everyone else just in case i can find someone to take lucas NOW cuz i need to go to the hospital. But like i said.. nobody answers... so i wait for Alanna. she carries my bags to the car and then says, " umm.. are you sure you can drive yourself?" i thought about it and then decided.. ew... with parking? i don't wanna be walking on the street and having contractions and carrying this big bag.. "yeah, do you mind driving me?" And she does. we try to talk on the way there but every time i have a contraction i have to say, "okay stop talking now, please." i think she was freaking out, i know i was. So i get to triage at 5:09pm and call enos... "i'm here" is all i muster out before i say, "okay love you, see you soon, bye" and hang up as another contraction hits me. the nurse has me give a urine sample and change into a gown before she checks me which only took about 8 min. and then she checks me and pulls her hands out really quick and says, "oh my gosh, you're an 8, we have to go NOW." she wheels me upstairs on the elevator and as we're going down the hall she says, "please don't have this baby in my wheelchair." i thought she was just making a joke... one of the other nurses told me later that she said... "no seriously.. i was worried she was gonna deliver in my chair." they didn't even have time to ask me questions or have me fill out any forms.

I arrive in the delivery room at 5:19pm. okay? keep your eye on that time... my contractions are almost unbearable now and i ask... is it too late to get an epidural!?!? the nurse says, "he's on his way... we're gonna try." which now i know is a comPLETE lie because it WAS too late but i didn't want to believe it because i was petrified of doing it natural. too bad... that's how it was gonna happen.... after all those blood tests and platelet counts and hemotologist appointments and taking steroids for the last week for nothing!! i asked again, "so i can't have an epidural?" the nurse said, "no honey, she here! she's coming NOW." i can't say that i was seeing clearly at this point.. i just remember staring at the big lights on the ceiling and screaming bloody murder to get through the pain...the nurses were really nice, but the doctor said, "you need to stop screaming." i didn't even really LOOK a the doctor... i still don't remember what she looked like... but anyway... there was a point there when my body LITERALLY felt like it was being split in HALF down there... i could feel my pelvic bone MOVING and what FELT like being ripped from FRONT TO BACK... i swear i went into shock... where was enos? the whole time i was delivering i was clutching my phone waiting for him to call...but no... "okay her head is out! just give me one more push.. not too hard!!" and just like that.. they plopped her on my chest and i had just given birth. WHAT!? what time was it? remember how i got in there at 5:19? yeah... she was out at 5:26. that's right folks...after ALL that waiting and "false labor" she was delivered and OUT in 1 1/2 hours. what if i had driven myself? what if alanna hadn't gotten there so soon? all these crazy things that worked out so that i wouldn't deliver Elliot on the dang sidewalk. PHEW.

So they clean her up and then who should show up? Enos. he was crushed. "what? i missed it?" he was just too slow (surprise surprise, haha) i said, "aww love! i'm sorry! it's all done. I don't think you would have wanted to be here anyway though.. it was pretty intense." then the nurse who was cleaning Elliot up said from the corner, "yeah.. it was pretty scary. it's probably better." HAH so that's it... she was 6lbs 5oz and was finally HERE :)

...i better post some pictures.

this is kind of my appreciation for having just ONE kid post. I wanted to show why i love lucas and why i'm so glad i had him first... so here goes.

he loves to put on our clothes and walk around like they are his.

...or perhaps just be casual in our CLEAN underwear. that's right.. he's wearing my boycut briefs around his neck like a scarf. he's just too classy for you.

he also really loves to be clean and to clean things. he found this cleaner toothbrush and decided his squishy blocks needed a good scrub down.

i love his car naps.

or his nap naps.

he really truly makes me happy... i really REALLY love my little family.

but then... sometimes he BITES. and i have to put him in timeout. turd.

but it's okay because he returns to his sweet self before too long.

... doing his business and whatnot in childcare. he's such a professional.

but knows how to be silly too, making fishy faces.

or getting embarrassed by his ridiculous mother.

...or perhaps just chillin' in the tub with a cousin.

(or being immodest)

and i LOVE when he cuddles with my OTHER favorite guy.

... he loves cars... and i love to break rules, so this was the perfect Toys R Us activity for us.

i guess overall.. i have just really enjoyed being a little family with my two favorite guys. but seriously? it's time to get someone on MY team!

here are a couple of pictures and videos that let you into the mind of a strange little bean. MY bean. he make LOOK just like enos... but he's got MY crazies.

he NEVER sucks on anything but his blanket corners... this was a rare moment indeed.

this reminds me of a picture i've seen of myself as a young lass... that ONE shoe he's wearing is a squeaker shoe. he's not aloud to wear it anywhere but the house (umm yeah.. that thing is ANNOYING) but he likes it because it draws attention and makes him feel all silly. Ps. he hates pants. don't all children? no wait.. doesn't EVERYBODY? yeah.. i thought so.

i like him being sneaky.. even if his mom can't take a freakin' focused picture to save her life.

his presents on easter morn accompanied by floury bunny paw prints.

okay so in feb. enos and i went to a banquet called Over the Hump meaning... over the half way point of Dental school so THIS is me posting about that. it was fun, i felt pretty and we all felt a little fancy. The theme was masquerade so that made it a little MORE fancy. but as a dummy.. i forgot my camera so all i have are the few pictures taken by other people and the school. enjoy!

Lucas Pucas turns Two.

so i am a bad mom for not posting about lucas' birthday earlier but hey.. at least i'm doing it at all, right? whatever. k... so for lucas' birthday we went to stockton and had BOTH, that's right... BOTH sets of grandparents there. i didn't document them together because well.. they are just too awesome for my dumb camera to handle... either that or i forgot. i can't remember.

but i didn't forget to document his cake that i so lovingly made and only lasted for four seconds at home before we wrapped it up and it got smashed to un-recognizability by the time we drove to stockton. BLAH. oh well. lucas doesn't like cake anyway. he barely touched it. though i couldn't seem to keep my paws OFF of it. mmmm...

grandma and grandpa heinzen read the toot's mind and got him.. SURPRISE! a car.

but not just any car... OUR car. hehe he loves it.

then on the actual day of his birth we were able to go to Pier 39 and have fun. tripping, biff it on the sidewalk and then conk out in the car kinda fun.

we also went to alcatraz that week. lucas' favorite part was the snacks.

oh.. and the maw maw. mmm.. maw maw is delicious.

and then lucas pulled off something i didn't know a brand newly two year old could do..

he built a train track all by himself. I'm so proud *tear*

and took a picture of his mama. all by himself. i'm sure i'll be using that phrase a lot in the near future. Aww. i love you louie.

hey.. i'm back! yeah.. back from the dead. i don't know where i go sometimes.. oh well.. without further ado.. Take It Off, Tuesday. Go HERE for details.

i took him to a wonderful place called sports basement where they have a bunch of kid cars that they let the kids drive around with you while you shop. it's so perfect. lucas was in heaven.

lucas often requests for me to put these boots on him that he got for christmas from maw maw and paw paw. I think he's gonna fit in just fine in texas.

only a couple of things will get him relaxin' THIS much.

charlie brown is number ONE on that list.
two of my three favorite men on the planet :)

he loves him some headphones and playing on pawpaw's computer.

he likes to wear combo outfits of his clothes and mine. it really makes him feel big, i think.
one of two things he'll do when you tell him you're taking a picture...

outfit combo #2 of the week. mom's top.

the second thing he does when you tell him you're taking a picture. isn't it creepy? eek.

he was quiet one day and i found him by the window doing this. :)

Let me tell you tales of a christmas awesome place.....

...a place where boys are made into happy toots, sliding down slides...

...and even old ladies have fun too.

But what makes THIS boy happiest.. is automobiles and.. ahem... TRAINS.

...and yes.. his mouth was open with excitement the whole time he played on this train. it even made him boogie... (see video down below)
trains are pretty much his favorite thing alive. well not alive.. but you get it.

well.. THAT and his maw.

oh and fixing the unlit twinkle light here and there.

or getting to crawl into snoopy's house made of ICE.

so much in fact, he might faint. or throw a fit.. i cant remember now.

but he hates all doctors... good thing enos is just a dentist.

cousin guppy is pretty chill...unless his mother isn't around. lucas seemed to like his company.

oh...just a hunch.

he also likes pretending to drive this car... no matter the temperature outside.

oh and sucking on the corners of this nasty blanket. the corners are still brown even though it's been bleached and washed a million times so i guess the only think left making it brown is...love.

up until recently... he also really liked baths.

and having bubbles piled on his head like Marie Antoinette hair

lucas loves to ride bikes... he makes me ride a short tricycle with him.. it hurts my buns.. but i do it. so i took a video of his cute driving.

Then we went to eat. I had printed up this list of the ten best things to eat in Disneyland and was determined to get them all. Well.. most of them. This is the vegetarian gumbo. DELICIOUS.

Angie was so dazed by the deliciousness that she began to pick her nose.
(no, not really... ew.)
Then a little later in the day.. we saw this guy... for TOO long.

No joke.. the ride broke down and we were stuck inside the Haunted Mansion for 15min more than we should have been. But we were cool. there was lots to look at.

... and we had these folks... remember?

once we finally escaped.. we went on the dumbos. Angie and I had never been and decided it was high time to do it. and do it today.

the guys were kinda selfish and took a whole dumbo to themselves. oh... sassy.

As for me...Mr. Toad is a sweet talker. be careful.

We even went on the teacups. FUN! at least until the place started spinning and i wanted to die.
Enos kept up his spirits.

Oh.. and of COURSE.. we got to see LOTS of interesting people... like THIS woman.
I'm gonna call all of the.. ahem.. STRONG women we found McLady Birds.

then we went back to space mountain... and whatta ya know.. here are a couple more..

the first day was scorchingly hot... and we needed some sweet relief.. so we rubbed our faces on this cold granite ball.. we had to scare the children away to get it for ourselves.. but once we did.. other grown ups came and joined in. that sounds wrong.. but whatever.

by the end of day one.. we were hot, tired and full of jokes. So we went back to the hotel and played disney trivia in our room.

enos and i won.. but they were up against the best.. come on.

Day Two was MUCH slower.. we still ate lots of deliciousness...
and of course we rode more of our favorite rides, namely...
Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain.. oh...
and buzz lightyear.

probably the ONLY ride Enos wasn't laughing on the entire time.
oh.. and don't judge my score.. it was my FIRST TIME! well.. since high school in DisneyWorld.
I got 189,000 the next time. so there.

yeah yeah.. everyone beat me. shut it.

THEN.. we went to California Adventure.. which should have been called "only like three things to do there because the rest is under construction" Land.... Nonetheless.. i road this beautiful ride..

Oh.. and jack got off work so we could hang out for the rest of the day.

Then i remembered as i was passing this guy... BURT! i was supposed to get a picture with this one.. for YOU heather. (bowing)

ps. he really was super charming.. i was totally smitten. Sorry Enos.

You're still my favorite.. i promise! :)

By the end.. we were TOTALLY pros. So much so.. we decided to be cool kids and ride space mountain with our sunglasses on. You should try it.. it's even crazier.
(note: enos' face doesn't change for ANY of the rides but Buzz Lightyear. Pure Nerd. love 'im.)

At the end of day two.. we were BADLY missing this little man. so we said farewell to our buddies and drove back to steal him back from AWmaw. :)

we went to stockton this weekend for enos' brother's graduation. it was my favorite graduation ever.... short and on a sunday instead of church. HAH there were only 21 people in his graduating class!! seriously.

So i went to go get my haircut at this really cool salon downtown. it was SUPER relaxing and made me feel like i TRULY lived in a city.. it was bustling, people were weird, the streets were dirty.... it was AWESOME. i love the city. and then the guy that cut my hair was wonderous. he was very professional and nice and then we we started talking about Project Runway he got FLAMIN'. i loved every minute of it. he was so dramatic and it was making me crack up. Gotta love San Fran. anyways.. the haircut.. super edgy and exciting... for a moment walking back to my car, i was a single adult livin' the hard city life getting by, by the skin of my teeth. AWESOME. i heart you city, i really do.

okay.. so i have to just post about why i haven't been posting much.

just know that when it's been a WHILE since i posted.. it's usually because one of two things:

1. i'm busy and having fun in life

2. i'm miserable and don't wanna post how depressed i am.

i know... you are gonna wonder next time aren't you!! HAH

CAUTION: i do NOT want ANY comments telling me how "wonderful i am" and how "everyone loves me" and blah blah blah. enos tells me that like every day and so it doesn't mean anything.

I am posting this because i think sometimes you just have to be REALLY real with your blogging audience. and so.... here i go (sick feeling in the pit of my stomach).... (i'm adding an extra dot for my sister jessica who HATES when people use four dots instead of three.. so THERE!)...

I really hate my situation right now. I hate feeling alone every day. I hate going to play group and feeling out of place and like i could be dead and nobody would care. I hate nobody getting me. i hate that i'm in limbo with friendships. I hate that i don't make a bigger effort to put myself out there. i hate that people don't reach out to me anymore. i hate that my BEST FRIEND is gone all the time. I hate that i am so anxious to make friends that i act weird around people. like, not myself, weird. a different weird. an awkward, trying too hard weird.

I wish i had somewhere to go everyday. someone who told me to "get my butt over here!" randomly.

I am the kind of person who does TERRIBLE in large groups. i clam up and end up seeming really boring and bland when i don't consider myself to be either.

I LOVE one on one time where you are laughing and joking the whole time and being honest with each other and really just connecting. I miss having a best friend.

I wish i had someone who was just as eager to see me as i am to see them.

I want to do wacky things every day but feel like everybody is too busy or stressed to do them with me.

I hate that i know some of the other dental wives will read this and feel like they have to say HI to me all the time... GREAT. nothing like fake, obligation hi's.

I hate that i'm feeling sorry for myself right now and i don't want to but i have to scream this out on the blog to get it out there.. to make it the last time i feel sorry for myself. i don't want to talk about this EVER AGAIN while i'm here in San Fran so i'm making this post all about the wallowing and self pity that i've been having so that i can get it out of my system and MOVE ON!!! I also want to use this as reference so when it happens again i can look back and see how i overcame it "last time".

The thing is.. i know that somewhere.. someone i know is feeling this way too but they aren't speaking out either and so we are BOTH feeling lonely when we COULD be hanging out regularly but instead we are both sad separately. that SUCKS.

Now to end on a positive...

i do feel like it will get better. I'm learning to NOT CARE what people think. It is my goal that by the time i am 30 i will not care about what people think of me, how "fat" i am or not know who i am. I WILL find myself before i leave here. i SWEAR to myself. I need to quit over thinking things and reLAX and have fun. SCREW YOU NEGATIVITY!!!! (waving my fist in the air) YOU SUCK!

so it would seem that my body rejected leaving north carolina to come home because let me TELL YOU.... i have been falling A PART OVER HERE! JEEZ. first i just had a little bit of a cold.... no biggie. then lucas got sick. couldn't keep anything down. Then i get achy and flu-ish. AWFUL. luckily and sadly, it was enos' week off from school. guess what HE got to do. take care of his lame family. he was the best dad and husband of them ALL this week. seriously. He completely took over taking care of Lucas and let me rest (well TRY) and recover. Then lucas got better. Things were looking up. i was beginning to feel better... and then... BAM.

THE PLLLAAAGUE (singing it it a very ominous tone)

i tell you what. there is NOTHING worse than what i am about to tell you.... i got... PINK EYE. oh no.. not just in ONE eye... but BOTH. and to the severest extent possible without my eyeballs popping out. (okay that's an exaggeration but SERIOUSLY bad. So bad in fact that this morning when i woke up... and opened my ey-... wait... i can't open my eyes!!!! WHY CAN'T I OPEN MY EYES!!!! they were GLUED shut from the mucus people!!! NAST-Y. i have pictures but i think i'll reserve them for those that i think can handle 'em. I will put a LINK on here but direct picture because i don't want you to have to look at them if you think you can't handle it. SERIOUSLY... NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH. but if you are like my sister and a few of my weirdo friends (i won't lie.. i'd be askin' to see 'em too if it weren't my own).... GO HERE . AND HERE. GO ahead... KNOCK yourself out. both of my eyes feel like they are REALLY BADLY bruised every time i blink and i have used up 2 rolls of toilet paper JUST TODAY on blotting my eyes since they can't properly drain. I have had blurred vision all day because of it. EW.

But i think it will clear up now since i got some medicated antibiotic drops and some antibiotics for the remaining sinus infection from the flu i had. so... what can you do but laugh? seriously. HAH

so... i guess what i'm sayin' is. be grateful. i am... that i don't have cancer or some terrible illness that i can't recover from. there IS an end in sight HAH.. i just can't SEE it yet... because of all the mucus.

Sisterly Visit

Well... i'm finally back from my excursion across the country... and while i made a few unexpected visits to Chicago and New York, I finally made it there and back. and boy was it EVER a trip.... i got to meet some AMAZING friends of jessica's that i'll be stealing for my own. They all welcomed me like one of the crew during our little St. Patrick's Day party that Jessica planned. I helped.... a little. Isn't it fancy? i know.

i love me some summer sister.

lucas had a grand old time too.

...even if i was forcing him to during parts of it.

we even got to go to the beach and visit one of jessica's internet friends... that sounds creepy. But Kimmy was actually really cute and tiny so we could have totally takin' her if she put up a fight.

Gus thought she was hilARIOUS. i think he was just being nice.

And as usual, Izey escaped.

It was really fun to go and see all the children and jessica and make new friends. We even made an INFOMERCIAL while i was there. BRILLIANT. stay tuned for more humiliation to be posted at the Hussy's site.

My letter to American Airlines....

UPDATE: i retyped this letter really fast into blogger for this post.. the original post didn't have fifty typos... so i didn't look like a high school drop out to the Airlines!!!! my sister's blogger is retarded and doesn't accept copy and pasting text. what the crap!?!?!

Upon being asked about my customer service and how i felt about my american airlines experience on my recent flight i responded....

I would just like to make you aware of the TREMENDOUS difficulty i had during my flight. I had a number of problems.

I was delayed two hours which was due to weather and i understand that you can't control that. I was not upset. HOWEVER, after we sat on the plane for the THIRD hour... we were told it was still because of weather when CLEARLY we were waiting for pilots from cancelled flights to NYC to board our plane... They came on our plane and then suddenly the weather "cleared up". I DON'T APPRECIATE BEING LIED TO.

After teh flight, my baby (who sat on my lap) and i came off the lane to find out that our connecting flight had already departed. Again, i understand when thinkgs like ths happen but i don't know why EVERYONE'S ability to help the situation was IMPOSSIBLE. I was not given full service for my hotel, in fact, i had to ASK for my HALF covered hotel vouchers... NO food vouchers were offered and it seemed that everyone that night that i spoke with was new at their job. They were always asking their supervisor, "how do i...(fill in the blank)?" it took WAY too long. And then i was told, after about 45 minutes of unsuccessfully finding a flight the next day... "call booking, their number is down the hall on a sign. They should be able to help you find a flight for tomorrow." I then called them and was immediately greted by a RECORDING. thanks... now i know how imortant i am. Once i got on the phone with an actual PERSON, she had NO CLUE what she was doing. She kept trying to send me oversears, or thought i was going to Boston? and then laughed about how she made mistakes. I was in NO MOOD. My arms were tired from carrrying my one year old son and i wanted to hurry and get to the hotel and rest. But this was only the beginning.

Once i found out that i couldn't leave until MONDAY (this was saturday), i went down to find my baggage. The baggage service said the bags would take TWO HOURS to be found and sent back to me. It was 8:30pm so i waited for my bags...., with my one year old TIRED baby. I asked if they could just deliver them to the hotel? NO. this was not my final destination and was rudely told that i HAD TO WAIT. So i did. And then after two hours of waiting and STILL no bag... i went bag.. i went back up to teh baggage desk and asked, "where are my bags? i can't seem to find them? have they come out yet?" and was told rudely, "the baggage people went home for the night." WHAT!? why was i not told that at 8:30pm when i asked about them? how was i supposed to get all the necessitites for my baby?!?!! i was stuck. So i had to go to the hotel empty handed and spend the money that i WANTED to spend on my cavation towards things i already had in my bag that lay somewhere in the airport... as well as the remaining balance for the hotel for TWO NIGHTS and taxi services to take me to target to GET the stuff i needed since the hotel AA booked me with didn't help at ALL. Not to mention i needed FOOD.

I got more help from random people suffereing from the same situation than i got from the hightest supervisor of the airline that should have been taking care of me. WHAT HAPPENED TO REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE? i surely did NOT find that on your airline. Your employees were short, rude and treated me inferiorly. They cared more about making money by keeping me ON your airline than they cared about getting me safely and happily to my destination no MATTER the carrier. THAT is really disappointing. I will never EVER use American Airlines again after i return to San Francisco because of this experience. AND neither will the vast majority of people i spoke with going through the same situation. You owe me at LEAST $500. thank you.

okay.. so i think i was drunk last night when i made that video...cuz lets face it... it SUCKSKSKSS. ... what i was TRYING to do was show a video FOR lucas to watch as he gets older to know how many people love him and to try and match the words that life is hard but you have good people around you so don't freak out..... so i'll leave that video there.. but the video i'm sure you were HOPING i'd make is the one below...now quit whining and watch the REAL video... made possible by windows movie maker and a patient lover who i'll call my "focus filter". it's MUCH better.. i swear.

The Passing of someone

My Aunt Momo (debby raines) passed away this last saturday. it really came as a shock and felt really strange to hear my dad say the words that "she was gone." I love you Momo. Can't wait to see you again.

(FYI: She is the one who helped make the monster blanket for lucas, along with my Aunt Nana.)

okay so my nephew josh really wanted his room to be painted in robots and space stuff and so tara had asked me to do some painting in his room.... so that's what i did. overall it was a good learning experience. I've never painted with house paint or on walls before so it took some getting used to but i think it turned out pretty fun.

Also.. i was asked to paint the Wizard of Oz characters for the doors in the church for a Relief Society activity since i'm on the enrichment committee. anywho... in typical Lindsay fashion i waited until the DAY BEFORE to paint them.. so i had to do it FAST! i like the NON human characters but dorothy really chaps me. ugh.. oh well.. overall i think it went well :)

i bought this for lucas at Target because i had one when i was little.... it's now his FAVORITE toy... he pushes it from room to room. and SINCE it makes a little noise when it is pushed.. i can always tell exactly where he is. yay nostalgia!!

Jelly Belly FUN.

Enos and i went to the Jelly Belly Factory with our lovely new friends Laura and Stuart. We also got to meet Laura's sassy brother Andrew and his ADORABLE girlfriend, Jenna. while the wait may have been worth it for only Jenna (1 HOUR... she was like a girl in a jelly bean shop...wait.) it was still fun to be among great company :) and lucas didn't mind the wait either. he was just happy to be out of the house.

welp.. with finals and me being out of town... we really didn't get around to celebrating my birthday... it was kinda lame on the actual day... but alas... good things come to those who wait. and after TWO WEEKS. my present was finally purchased. and what a LOVELY present it was... enos got me a table easel and a handful of MARVELOUS paint brushes to replace my crappy walmart set. FINALLY!!!!! no more loose hairs floating around in my paintings, no more crooked lines because my brush is weak... and NO more empty etsy store!!!! yay!!! i'm starting work on my paintings this next week and then i shall be selling them on etsy. :) so yeah... THERE you GO. happy birthday to ME.

Lucas and i went to tejas this week... to hang out with all our family, remember how much we like bein' cowboys. oh yeah... AND to get out of enos' hair while he studies his BOO-TAY off for finals. go dental man!! We had TONS of fun with mawmaw and pawpaw.. and Raschel and Makena and even got to see Nana and Momo!! thanks for being great hosts family...love you :)

UPDATE: Okay...so i didn't realize HOW long a marathon is...maybe SOMEDAY...i'll just work on building up to that. oh..and i forgot to give my sister a shout out for introducing me to coolrunning.com SHE IS THE GREATEST for doing that for me!!!!! (is that better jessica? it better be. turd.. ACTUALLY...it was TARA that told me about the website...YOU were obviously trying to keep me fat!!! HAH)

i've always been someone who looks at runners and goes.. "ew." i have never had any desire to be a runner or run or anything like that.... until i had lucas... i think the reason heavenly father didn't let me lose the weight right away was because he knew this would be a new adventure for me... finding a love for running, working out... etc. I'm beginning to finally lose the weight!! And more than that... i love running now!!! I was finally able to run without stopping today... 2.8 miles. that feeling was so empowering.. were the first 7 weeks of running hard? YES. WITHOUT A DOUBT. but i'm getting better, stronger and wiser hahah.. sorry..i had to finish it like that.. .stupid 90's song. HAH... but seriously.. i love it now... i think EVERYONE who is physically capable should run. Now why am i telling you this? because i want to convert you. I want to SHOW you how beneficial it is... I'm going to put my weight on the sidebar and have you SEE it. EEK!? thats right... i'm doing a fat down so i can show you how effective running is....and by the end of it.. i want to NOT ONLY get down to my goal weight of 130 lbs. but also run a MARATHON.. that's right folks....... and hopefully all this will get you to start THIS PROGRAM... only the best program EVER for you to start running... it makes it SO easy!!! it's hard (like any workout regimen) to stay motivated... but the actual running is really pretty easy... so try it out!!!

So you all know by now about my ear... if not... read THIS.... anyway.. so i get a call from my ear doctor's office saying, "we were wondering if we could use your picture in a magazine in Ireland." i'm like "sure." what do i care, right? So yeah... i got the mag in the mail about 1 1/2 months ago and it's just been sitting on my computer desk to post on here... so here i am.. finally posting it. cool eh? hah... so yeah.. i'm big in Ireland. :)

Lucas got the tree skirt off of the tree and got stuck inside. much in the same way his two front teeth have been stuck inside his gums for like 2 months... until now. :) finally... jeez.

ps. yes... we have our tree on a table because it's such a wiener tree. AND we don't want lucas touching it... it's stuck to the table very securely don't worry.

So remember when i was featured on that little GypsyFeet blog? well the blog owner and i have become really good friends... she is a crazy little scottish girl who lives in Hayward and it's fun to take little trips down there to see her. Yesterday i went to spend the night at her house and go see the 12am showing of New Moon. We put on our homemade tshirts and galavanted out the door!!! PROUD! until we saw a long line of very ethnic people who were just night owls having decided to go out. we were embarrassed and buttoned up our coats... hey.. it WAS cold afterall.. hah. the movie was better than expected which really isn't saying much considering it WAS a twilight movie.. but it was fun just be out and cheer on jacob and his rippling pectorals instead of fleshy, creepy edward. ew bella.. seriously? ew. Thanks Laura for being a great scot. :)

so peanut and i went to take a quick gander at the Full House house in San Fran on my way home from taking enos to school today. No no... not the shot of the painted ladies... the actual HOUSE that was "theirs". This may seem like no big deal to most people but i watched every episode of that show and was very connected to it. I cried the day it ended and then sat and thought what i would do with my life now that it was off. I recovered.... But it is still a part of me...... The only part that sucks is that they sold the red door to the neighbors so i hear but the house is still gorgeous.... a fun little side 15 min. trip... and is it just me or does it look like there is someone in their bra standing behind that moon-shaped sculpture? odd.

Also.. my goal is to find everything famous in movies filmed in San Fran and take a picture of it.
